Dark 24th
Hamilton is in a valley and thus good days and bad days stay more often here. It has been bright sunshine. In fact, too bright and too sunny and I intend to use my Fujifilm Digi camera and take some awesome pictures soon but last 13 days out of 14 I have worked and thus just recovered from a powerful anti-histamine driven sleep. It's a quiet day at work as most people are tearing their hair on Xmas shoppings for loved ones and relatives. I remember going to buy slippers from Santa Cruz with Renu and Shobha. This was in Bombay when Bombay was called Bombay and not some new political name.
The Santa Cruz Market is where all the footpath is filled with cheap, fresh vegetables and shoe stores on the street and those were the days when Gola shoes were hot and Bombay was clean. Santa Cruz was where I did my kindergarten and we would go the beach on full moon night when it was the norm to eat rice porridge that was cooled by the moon and the waves would go crazy.
The shopping we did in Santa Cruz was for Diwali where you could buy sweets, crackers, toast sandwiches, lemonades, slippers and chappals and bhel and sev puri on the street.
